SAUTER Mobile Building Services application: the convenience of a Smart Home application combined with a building automation system
SAUTER is launching a new Mobile Building Services application for residents and property managers. It offers occupants of flats, hotel rooms, meeting rooms and offices the possibility to individually control heating, air conditioning, lighting and blinds. The application, connected to the SAUTER Cloud, can be used locally or remotely. The data, integrated into the SAUTER Vision Center software, provides property managers with an overview of energy consumption for cost and maintenance optimisation.
Simple operation for users
After installing the "Mobile Building Services" application on their Apple or Android device, each user receives a personalised and unique QR code. He/she must scan it to access the controls of his/her hotel room, flat or office. The user can create an additional individual digital key for other users and change their control authorisations at any time. The user manages the room comfort with the application. For example, the user can remotely lower the room temperature to reduce energy consumption.
Secure access rights
The property or facility manager is the administrator of the application's access rights. In the event of a change of owner, tenant or occupant, they block the access rights of the outgoing resident and simultaneously issue a new access right, by QR code, to the newcomers. This solution guarantees the security of residents' data.
Integrated management in SAUTER Vision Center
Authentication and control of the premises with the "Mobile Building Services" application is carried out via the SAUTER cloud.
The user of the application is connected directly to the terminal controllers via the SAUTER cloud.
Using the SAUTER Vision Center interface, the property manager controls all the controllers and manages maintenance, troubleshooting and alarms.
Cost optimisation
This new solution no longer requires the installation of servers in the buildings, which significantly reduces investment costs. The SAUTER Cloud provides customers with computing power, storage space and data protection.
Use of state-of-the-art technologies
The following protocols are used: BACnet, OPC UA, MQTT/AMQP, Web Services.
Finally, the application uses secure TLS 1.2 connections, based on certificates.
