ECOLE DE CHIENS GUIDES DE PARIS
Stand: G34
Description
For more than 35 years, the Paris Guide Dog School has been studying, educating, giving free guide dogs to blind or visually impaired people and monitoring the pairs.
Our action extends to Paris and its region.
We have two sites, the Jacques Bouniol Breeding and Education Center inaugurated on September 19, 2015, in Buc in the Yvelines and our education center near the Bois de Vincennes, in Paris.
The guide dog allows a gain of autonomy and safety during the movements
that become more fluid and serene.
To date, nothing can replace the role of a guide dog for people with visual impairments. Beyond the «guidance» which represents only 20% of the guide dog’s day, its presence promotes social bond, it is a guarantee of encounter and inclusion.
It also promotes the occupational integration of people with visual disabilities.
The guide dog is given free to visually impaired persons who request it, but its training at a cost to our association, estimated at 25,000 euros.
95% of our funding comes from public generosity.
