An economist by training, Marina Niforos has more than 25 years C-Suite experience in strategy, policy and emerging technologies in the public and private sectors. She is currently advising the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group on blockchain and artificial intelligence disruptive technologies impact in emerging markets and is lead author of the IFC report Blockchain : Opportunities for Private Enterprises in Emerging Markets. She is also member of the EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum established by the European Commission. Marina has served on a number of boards, including the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (Greek Sovereign Fund), Sechè Environnement, a French publicly-listed company, and the European Network of Women in Leadership (WiL). In the past, she was the CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in France, Executive Director for the Diversity Center at INSEAD, held senior posts in the Pechiney Group in corporate strategy and corporate venture and served for five years with the World Bank Group in Latin America where she received the Award for Excellence by President Wolfensohn for assisting borrowers with sovereign debt conversion in Colombia. Ms Niforos earned an MBA and an IDP-C from INSEAD, an MGA from the University of Pennsylvania and a Diploma in International Relations from SAIS-The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (Johns Hopkins University). She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University. She speaks Spanish, French, Greek and is proficient in Italian.
