Robert Patalano is deputy head of division, leading the management of the OECD's Committee on Financial Markets (CMF), including its analytical work for the Committee related to global financial markets, financial intermediation, sustainable finance, and financial technologies. Prior to joining the OECD, Rob spent five years at the Financial Stability Board in Basel, where he led the assessment of global financial stability risks for the Standing Committee on Assessment of Vulnerabilities and chaired its Analytical Group on Vulnerabilities. Prior to that role, Rob spent a decade at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in managerial and analytical roles in the Markets Group, and also served on the NY Fed's liquidity facilities during the US financial crisis. Also, during the European financial crisis, he was seconded to the European Central Bank to lead bank funding assessments on the ECB's enhanced surveillance programs in Ireland and Italy. Mr. Patalano earned an MBA in finance and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan and an MA in international relations and economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS. He is a CFA charter holder.
