Steven Becker is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Maker Foundation, the organization facilitating the development of MakerDAO. MakerDAO governs the Maker Protocol and Dai, the world’s first decentralized, collateral-backed stablecoin on the Ethereum blockchain. Dai mitigates volatility through an autonomous system of smart contracts called the Maker Protocol, and through decentralized community governance. An alternative investment professional with 20 years of experience, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), Steven is responsible for all strategic business operations within the Maker Foundation.
